LAWRENCE — Allen County Community College track athletes competed in six events at the Kansas Relays held April 21-23.
The ACCC men’s 4×100-meter relay team of Chris Henry, DeMario Johnson, Trent Huling and Zach Baldwin placed fifth in the race. They ran 41.90 seconds in the finals after posting 41.71 in the preliminaries.
Baldwin combined with Bryant Terry, Abraham Walker and Darrlyn Bennett for 10th place in the 4×400-meter relay. Their time was 3 minutes, 20.02 seconds.
J’Vente DeVeaux finished ninth in the college men’s triple jump. He had a distance of 48 feet, 2 inches. Travis Venniro was 29th in the college men’s shot put at 42’7 1⁄2”.
John Thurston placed 28th in the college men’s 400-meter hurdles in 56.57 seconds. Jesse Jenkins was 57th in the 800-meter run in 2:03.29.
